According to the National Association of REALTORS®, 49 percent of buyers say that staging a home impacts their decision to buy. A well-staged home will appeal to a larger number of potential buyers. In addition, home staging helps your home stand out from the many others for sale.

Unattractive decor or a cluttered home will not help sell a house. Potential home buyers want to be able to imagine themselves in your home. Many cannot envision themselves in a home they consider ugly or cluttered, even if it has a great floor plan or lots of space.

One of the most important things that a seller can do to prepare their home for sale is to clean it thoroughly. A clean home gives buyers the impression that it has been well cared-for. Deep clean throughout, paying special attention to the bathrooms and kitchens. Do not forget to clean windows and dust blinds and ceiling fans.
